We are currently seeking a dynamic and innovative Manufacturing Project Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of our operations, working on both small and large scale projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost-efficiency. The Manufacturing Project Engineer will provide engineering support for ongoing and new projects in our manufacturing department and will be responsible for the design, programming, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.
2. Plan and design manufacturing processes in industrial plant. Maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization.
3. Prepare capital funding requests and manage project budgets and timelines.
4. Implement continuous improvement and cost reduction projects to increase efficiency and productivity.
5. Troubleshoot and repair complex problems with manufacturing equipment, specifically Fanuc and Allen Bradley PLCs.
6. Collaborate with design engineering and other functions to finalize product specifications and validate product performance.
7. Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
8. Maintain current records on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades and safety issues. Study equipment performance and reliability.
9. Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. Provide technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
2. Minimum of 3
years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
3. Experience with material handling, design, programming, and troubleshooting, specifically with Fanuc and Allen Bradley PLCs.
4. Proven track record of successfully implementing continuous improvement and cost reduction projects.
5. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma is a plus.
9. Proficient in CAD/CAM software.
10. Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and efficiently.
11. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
12. Familiarity with industry safety standards and procedures.
